The Diamond Jubilee in Greater Manchester
Greater Manchester welcomed Her Majesty The Queen at the end of March this year as part of her Jubilee Tour of the country.
This section of the web site is devoted to various celebrations occurring around the county during 2012 - please feel free to let us know what is happening in your area and we will be happy to publicise the event for you.
We know that many people and communities are holding Street Parties, Community bonfires, general parties that include childrens' rides, bouncy castles, hot dog stall and much more as part of the Bank Holiday Weekend in June.

Below is a photograph of the empty hall at Manchester Central which was the setting for Her Majesty's visit to the Urban Garden Party where over 1300 people gathered to welcome her to our area.
