Rodger J Pannone Esq. DL
Rodger Pannone has lived in Manchester for the last forty years with his wife Patricia who is a Magistrate; they have 3 adult children Mark, Richard and Elizabeth.
Rodger was President of the Law Society of England and Wales in 1993 and 1994.
Rodger is currently a Consultant with Pannone LLP, having been the Senior Partner for many years. He is Chairman of Renovo PLC and a member of the Co-operative Legal Services Board. He holds and has held a number of other executive and non-executive positions, including being Chairman of the Forensic Science Service for ten years.
Rodger was Chairman of the Council of Manchester University until its merger with UMIST and was one of four founders of the merged University, He was Chairman of the College of Law and a Governor for seventeen years. Rodger was one of four Founders of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, the first Senior Fellow of the College of Personal Injury Lawyers and the only honorary life member living north of Watford. He has received a number of awards, Honorary Fellowships and Doctorates, including Honorary Doctorates from Manchester University and Salford University.
He has been a member of a number of Legal and Government Advisory Bodies, including the British Council, Law and Governance Committee.
He is the North West Regional Chairman of the charity Emmaus.
Rodger and Patricia have had a cottage in the northern Lakes for over twenty years where they enjoy walking and their grandchildren.
Rodger is a member of the St James Club and the Wyresdale Anglers.
Rodger was appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant in 1999.
